Two blasts in Jama Masjid, 3 injured
New Delhi, Apr 14 (UNI) Three persons were injured as two low intensity blasts rocked the historic Jama Masjid at Old Delhi this evening.
The blasts, which took place within the space of minutes, took place while scores of people were offering Friday evening prayers, sources said.
The first blast occurred at about 1715 hrs.
The injured were rushed to nearby hospitals.
The blasts, however, did not cause any damage to the Masjid structure, Shahi Imam of Jama Masjid Ahmed Bukhari said.
The area has been cordoned off. A huge posse of policemen, several fire tenders, ambulances and bomb disposal squad officials have reached the spot.
