TTD to perform "Kalyanam" every year at Chennai

Tirumala, Apr 14 (UNI) Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Trust Board will perform Sri Padmavathi Srinivasa Kalyanam every year in Chennai, according to TTD Board Chairman T Subbarami Reddy.

He said following the good response from Chennai devotees when TTD conducted the Kalyanam of Lord Venkateswara last month, the TTD decided to perfrom it every year.

In view of the increasing flow of pedestrian pilgrims to Tirumala from Chennai, Mr Reddy said the Board also decided to construct TTD choultries between Chennai and Tirumala for the convenience of the pilgrims.

The TTD would accept donations of land or building for this, he said.
