Three killed in head-on collision on GT road

Kapurthala, Apr 14 (UNI) Three persons were killed and one was injured in a head-on collision between a four-wheeler and a jeep at Hamira village on Jalandhar-Amritsar National highway today.

The deceased have been identified as Kishore Bajaj , Vikramjit Singh and driver Satnam Singh, all residents of Amritsar.

According to police, all the deceased were going to Amritsar from Jalandhar in the jeep when it collided with a four-wheeler coming from opposite direction resulting in their deaths. The lone injured was in the other vehicle.

Police have registered a case under sections 304 A,279 and 427 IPC against the driver of the four-wheeler, Surinder Pal Singh, who managed to flee after the accident.
