Three BSF personnel injured in Srinagar blasts

Srinagar, Apr 14 (UNI) Three Border Security Force (BSF) personnel were injured in a grenade blast near the Central Telegraph Office (CTO) on Moulana Azad Road near here this afternoon.

Militants hurled another grenade towards a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) picket at Magarmal Bagh on the Srinagar-Airport road this afternoon.

However, the grenade missed the intended target and exploded outside the bunker without causing any damage, a CRPF spokesman said.

Official sources said militants hurled a hand grenade towards a BSF vehicle, parked on the other side of the road near CTO which exploded on the roadside injuring three BSF personnel.

The injured were admitted to hospital. Traffic on the Moulana Azad Road was suspended for some time. The sound of the blast was heard in the entire civil line areas.
