Shekhawat mourns Ghani Khan's demise

New Delhi, Apr 14 (UNI) Vice-President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat today expressed grief over the death of veteran Congress leader and former Railway Minister A B A Ghani Khan Chowdhury in Kolkata.

In his condolence message, Mr Shekhawat said, ''A B A Ghani Khan Chowdhary was a mass leader dedicated to the service of the people.

He will be remembered for his services to the nation.'' Union Water Resources Minister Saifuddin Soz also expressed grief over the former Union Minister's demise.

He said, ''Barkatda's contribution to the cause of promotion of social and secular values in the country would always be remembered with pride.'' Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Santosh Mohan Dev too condoled the sad demise of Ghani Khan Chowdhary.

In his message, Mr Dev said, ''Words fail me to express my profound grief in the passing way of A B A Ghani Khan Chowdhary.

During his long tenure in public life as MLA, MP as well as state and Central Minister, he has left his indelible impression on every walk of life.'' UNI AK RR HS2308
