Sania's presence will boost team morale in Fed Cup: Ankita

New Delhi, Apr 14 (UNI) Teenage Tennis star Ankita Bhambri said the presence of Sania Mirza in the Federation Cup squad will boost the morale as well as the chances of the team.

''If Sania is playing, it is good for the team. It would give the team a better chance to qualify to the World Group II, to be played next year,'' Ankita said here.

Ankita, who is ranked 337 in the world, played a big role in India's second-place finish in last year's Asia-Oceania Zone Group I Qualifiers here.

India are in Group I in the Federation Cup tournament to be held in Seoul from April 19 to 22 along with hosts Korea, Australia, Chinese Taipei, New Zealand, Philippines and Uzbekistan. The winner of the group will be promoted to World Group II next year.

The Indian team comprising Sania, Ankita, Neha Uberoi and Isha Lakhani leave for the South Korean capital from here on Sunday.
