Man sentenced to life for raping

Sultanpur, Apr 14: A man accused of raping and killing a minor in 2004, was sentenced to life alongwith a fine of Rs 15,000, by a sessions Court here.

According to the prosecution, Ghanshyam alias Bhullar had raped and then killed a ten-year-old girl on November 12, 2004 in the Rampur village under Akhandnagar police station area.

Taking into account available evidences in the case, Additional Sessions Judge (III) N S Rawal yesterday held Ghanshyam guilty for the crime and sentenced him to life imprisonment alongwith a fine of Rs 15,000.
