Mamata flays Left's work culture
Purulia, Apr 14 (UNI) Trinamool Congress Supremo Mamata Banerjee has assailed the Left Front government for 'poor' work culture which resulted in unemployment in West Bengal.
Addressing an election rally here last evening, Ms Banerjee said, ''During the 29 years of Left Front rule in the state, work culture has completely disappeared resulting in unemployment and other social problems.'' Purulia, along with Bankura and Birbhum districts, will go to the polls on Monday, the first of the five-phase assembly elections.
''Industries had closed down one after another due to militant trade unionism of the Left supported unions like CITU,'' Ms Banerjee rued.
The Trinamool Congress chief warned the people about the 'atrocities' of CPI(M) cadres during the polls.
She also criticised AICC General Secretary Margaret Alva, who had held her responsible for non-alliance between the Congress and her party.
Ms Banerjee attended two other meetings at Raghunathpur and Hutmura in the district yesterday.
