Hooda to inaugurate synthetic hockey grass surface at Shahbad
Chandigarh, Apr 14 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bupinder Singh Hooda will inaugurate a synthetic hockey grass surface at Government Senior Secondary School at Shahbad on April 17.
A spokesman of the Sports and Youth Affairs Department today said the surface had been laid at an estimated cost of Rs 3.81 crore.
He said the Haryana government had selected Shahbad Markanda to lay this synthetic hockey grass surface keeping in view the performance of the girls hockey team of Shahbad.
He said that about 25 girls from the town had represented the country in various international hockey tournaments.
