Good Friday observed in Pondy

Pondicherry, Apr 14 (UNI) People here today observed Good Friday marking the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.

Early morning mass was held in all churches. A procession was taken out symbolising the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, bearing the cross, from the Palace of Pilate to Golgotha where he was crucified.

Dr Antony Anandarayar, Arch Bishop of Cuddalore and Pondicherry Arch Dioces, was among those who participated in the procession.
