Former Surrey bowler voted club's cricket chairman
London, Apr 14 (UNI) Former Surrey bowler Roger Harman will succeed Micky Stewart as the club's Chairman of cricket after being voted in unanimously at the county' Annual General Meeting last Tuesday.
Harman represented Surrey from 1961 to 1968 and the left arm orthodox bowler played 141 matches and took 369 wickets at an average of 23.59. He joined the Club's General Committee in 1995.
''It is a great honour to be asked to carry out this role. Ever since I joined as a player here I have always had the Club's best interests at heart and I'll be looking to play as big a role as I can in its continued success,'' Harman said in a statement here.
