Fiber and yarn expo to be held in Mumbai

Mumbai, Apr 14: Tecoya Infotech-a Tecoya Trend Group company is organizing an exclusive exhibition on fibres and yarns called 'Fibers and Yarns 2006' at World Trade Centre in south Mumbai from April 27,28 and 29.

The aim of the exposition is to bring different types of fibre and yarn manufacturers on one platform where weavers, knitters and garment brand managers will get an oppoturnity to look at the latest and specialty yarn collections for conversion into innovative fabrics and garments, said Tecoya Infotech Managing Director Shekhar Sharma.

He added, ''The fair has been organized at the most opportune time. It is being held amid forecasts of enormous prospects for the industry following the abolition of textile quotas. High industry optimism exists today and we are expecting a strong buying mood of the trade visitors at the fair.'' Around 60 specialty fibre and yarn manufacturers, from India and abroad, will display soya bean, milk and bamboo fibers (from China); nylon micro fibers; modal and tencel fibers; fire retardant viscose, hi-tech polyester fibers and filaments for functional fabrics; pure silk; linen and jute yarns at the three-day exhibition. The largest collection of fancy yarns of woven and knit-wears will also be displayed by prominent Indian and foreign exhibitors at the expo.
