eInfochips opens 3rd Design Centre in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad, Apr 14 (UNI) eInfochips, India's fastest growing provider of electronic design services to global blue-chip technology companies, today opened its third design centre here.

The centre has been set up with an investment of USD 1 million, is spread over 15,000 sq feet area. It will house 170 design engineers taking the total number of engineers to 480, said eInfochips President and CEO Praful Shroff.

He told mediapersons that eInfochips has executed over 150 complex chip design and verification and system design projects for customers across the globe.

Mr Shroff said that the Indian market for design services which is currently estimated at USD 3.2 billion is expected to grow to USD 15 billion by 2010.

eInfochips is gearing up to leverage this opportunity and grow at 80 per cent per year, Mr Shroff added.

The company is targetting a revenue of USD 18 million in 2006-07 up from USD 10 million, it registered last year.

''We have a two-pronged growth strategy. First we will enter new markets in Asia-Pacific. Countries like Japan, Korea, Taiwan are large centres of electronic manufacturers and consumers of chip. We plan to tap these and win new customers, Mr Shroff said.
