Dravid, Raina bat for UNICEF campaign against AIDS
Indore, Apr 14 (UNI) For once, cricket took a backseat and Team India captain Rahul Dravid and young turk Suresh Raina joined hands to bat for a UNICEF campaign to create awareness of AIDS among children.
On the eve of the seventh and final one dayer against England, Dravid addressed a small gathering of youngsters and urged them to join the fight against the menace of aids and assured that cricketers will not lag behind in this regard.
''The entire team would like to do its bit to bring about changes in our society. We are more than happy to champion social causes like this. AIDS is a social stigma and we would like to end that,'' Dravid told the gathering.
Both Dravid and Raina wore the red ribbon pledging their support to the war against AIDS.
Member of Parliament Jyotiraditya Scindia was also present on the occasion.
