Cong MLAs staged relay hungerstrike against sealing drive
New Delhi, Apr 14 (UNI) Congress MLAs today staged a relay hunger strike against the on-going sealing drive in the capital.
On a call given by All India Congress Committee Secretary Parvez Hashmi and former Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee President Subhash Chopra, as many as 16 MLAs sat on hunger strike at Kashmere Gate in North Delhi.
The hunger strike, which started today on the occasion of Bhimrao Ambedkar's 115th birth anniversary, was expected to continue tomorrow in South Delhi near Desh Bandhu College.
The MLAs welcomed the Centre's decision to file an appeal in the Supreme Court, seeking relief for the lakhs of traders and their employees.
