'Ashtadhatu' slab estimated at several lakhs seized, 4 arrested

Sultanpur, Apr 14 (UNI) Police arrested four persons and seized an 'ashtadhatu' (eight metal alloy) slab, worth at several lakhs of rupees from their possession in the district.

The slab was produced by melting several rare 'ashtadhatu' idols, police claimed.

Following a tip-off, the quartet were arrested near the bus station, when they were trying to smuggle the 'ashtadhatu' slab to Pratapgarh district in Uttar Pradesh.
