Union Bank of Indiato offer online air tickets for IA

Mumbai, Apr 13 (UNI) Union Bank of India, has become the first bank in the country to offer online boking of air tickets for the state-owned airlines - Indian,( Formerly known as Indian Airlines) under the direct debit arrangement.

The bank entred into an agreement with the dometic national carrier on April 12, to offer online booking of air ticket to its customers enjoing internet banking facilities to book their ticket of Indian by direct debit from their accounts on the net, a release today said.

The release added that this is the first such agrangement entred into by airlines with any bank in the country. The state-owned carrier has so far been ofering booking of online ticket through credit cards. This is one more facility added to the bank's internet customers. he bank is already offers online booking facility for railway tickets and season tickets for Mumbai surburban trains.
