LHRI to honour Teesta Setalvad at Panjab University

Chandigarh, Apr 13 (UNI) Human rights activist Teesta Setalvad, whose persistent efforts had helped secure justice to the victims of Gujarat riots, will be honoured by the Lawyers for Human Rights International (LHRI) at the Panjab University tomorrow.

According to LHRI general secretary Navkiran Singh, Teesta Setalvad would speak about the 'Challenges before the human rights defenders' at the function which will be presided over by Justice J C Verma, a retired judge from Rajasthan High Court.

The function will be held at the English Auditorium on the Panjab University campus.
