HPCL-Malbro Appliances sign MoU for marketing Advanta LPG Stove

New Delhi, Apr 13 (UNI) Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (HPCL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Malbro Appliances Pvt Ltd to market their 'Advanta' brand L PGas Stoves on their HPCL Gas outlets across India.

The fuel efficient, High Thermal efficiency, Green Label L P Gas Stove has 68 per cent plus thermal efficiency, certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).

''With this stove the customer will be saving 8 per cent of the fuel as compared to ordinary gas stove,'' Said Mr Rajiv Malhotra, Managing Director, Malbro Appliances Pvt Ltd.

The Logos of both the companies -- HP&ADVANTA -- will be carried on the product to instill safety confidence among customers.

The Malbro had entered into similar MoU with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) last year.

The products are available in variants of Single Burner to Five Burners in the price band of Rs. 600 to Rs.4000.

Malbro has installed capacity of 6000 pieces per day in their state-of-the-art assembly unit in Parwanoo (Himachal Pradesh).

''All the components including rubber tube&hoses are in-house product,'' Mr Malhotra said.

The company is currently developing a flame failure device, which in the case of malfunctioning of stoves, it will automatically switch off the system.

Malbros has its own in-house R&D department and spends about 5 per cent of the turnover on it with an equal amount of advertisement of the product.

The company has 40 exclusive franchisee showrooms and its products are available at more than 10,000 outlets through out the country, he added.

Malbro Appliances has set a target to achieve a turnover of Rs 100 Crore during the current financial year inclusive of Rs. 10 crore from exports to African countries.
