GAIL to provide gas to RRVUNL's Dholpur plant

Mumbai, Apr 13 (UNI) Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) has signed a gas transmission agreement (GTA) with Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (RRVUNL) for supplying gas to the latter's 330 MW gas-based power plant at Dholpur.

The GTA was signed by GAIL director for marketing U D Choubey and RRVUNL chairman N S Chaudhary in Jaipur, according to a GAIL release here.

As per the agreement, 1.5 million standard cubic meter per day (MMSCMD) of gas will be transferred to RRVUNL's Dholpur plant.

The Company will be laying a new spur line of approximately 30 km to connect the Dholpur power plant from the tap-off point at Ibrahimpur on the Hazira-Vijaipur-Jagdishpur (HVJ) pipeline of the Company.
