CM among two candidates in fray for Bhaderwah Assembly seat
Jammu, Apr 13 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad (Congress) and Dhanter Singh of Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) are the two candidates in the fray for BhaderwahAssembly by-election in Doda district.
To ensure free and fair poll, a total 112 polling stations are being set up. Of these, 48 are hypersenstitive, 44 sensitive and 20 normal.
Only two candidates are in the fray, whose fate will be decided by 90476 electorate comprising 46166 males and 44310 females. The election will be held on april 24.
Meanwhile, the poll observers Mr Ved Bhargwah, Additional Director General, All India Radio and Mr B K Jha, Income Tax Commissioner are camping at bhaderwah to conduct free, fair and peaceful poll .
Former State Power Minister Mohammed Shrief Niaz had resigned from Bhaderwah seat for Mr Azad . Mr Azad after taking over as Chief Minister of the state in November, has resigned as Rajya Sabha Member, and now it is mandatory for him to get elected within six month of his new assignment.
