CBI raids at premises of IAS officers, Forest Hill Resort

Chandigarh, Apr 13 (UNI) Central Bureau of Investigation sleuths today raided the premises of two senior Punjab cadre IAS officers S C Aggarwal and K B S Sidhu and the state's Forest Conservator Harsh Kumar here as part of the investigations into the multicrore Forest Hill Resort scam.

The CBI also raided the controversial Forest Hill Resorts on the city outskirts and at the farm house of a retired Ropar District Forest Officer (DFO) Jagjit Singh Samundari on Chandigarh-Zirakpur Road near here.

The residence of the Forest Hill Resort owner Col (retd) B S Sandnu in Sector 10 here was also raided.

The raids were conducted by the CBI's special team investigating into the multicrore Forest Hill Resort scam.

The CBI sleuths raided the residence of Mr S C Aggarwal, the state's Secretary for Industries, in Sector 5 and also raided the Sector 19 house of Mr K B S Sidhu, Secretary, Housing and Urban Development this morning.

The CBI official, however, refused to divulge any further details.

The Punjab and Haryana High Court had issued instructions to the CBI in October 2005 to form a special team under a senior official not less than the rank of a DIG to investigate the Forest Hill Resort scam.
