Two murder cases registered
Mumbai, Apr 12 (UNI) The city police have registered two cases of murder, including a senior citizen, during the last 24 hours in the metropolis.
Police today said the deceased, identified as Satish Ishwarlal Gandhi (60), was allegedly strangulated by unidentified persons in the eastern suburb of Chembur and ran away with booty worth Rs 1.03 lakh between 1800 to 2030 hrs yesterday.
In another incident, a body of a youth in the age group of 25 and 30 years was found lying near Jagananth industrial estate in the eastern suburb of Bhandup.
The body, which bore several injury marks on neck, has been sent for post-mortem at Rajawadi Hospital, Ghatkopar, police added.
