Sainik Samman pension to ex-servicemen hiked to Rs 3,000

Chandigarh, Apr 12 (UNI) The Punjab government has enhanced the 'Swatantrata Sainik Samman'monthly pension from Rs 2500 to Rs 3000 with effect from April one. This new rate of pension includes Rs 200 as medical assistance.

An official spokesman said today that in order to facilitate quick disbursal of their pensions through the Banks, necessary arrangements have already put in place. Besides this, a state level committee has also been constituted to redress their grievances by holding regular meetings, the spokesman said.
