Ramanaidu's first Malayalam movie to hit screen in June
Kozhikode, Apr 12 (UNI) ''Ashwaroodan,'' the first Malayalam venture by eminent film producer D Ramanaidu, featuring 'Bharat' award winner Suresh Gopi in the lead, will hit the silver screen by June 30.
Directed by famed Jayaraj with upcoming actress Padma Priya in the female lead, shooting for the Rs one crore project would begin on April 20, Dr Naidu told reporters after the launching ceremony here.
The film, under the banner of Suresh Production, would be completed in 30 days and would ready for release by June 30 throughout, Dr Naidu said.
''Ashwaroodan'' narrates the story of an oppressed section of people in an Adivasi settlement. Sita Lakshmi, (Padma Priya), an ostracised girl from upper caste Naboodiri family, joined by Poomadathinkkal Veerabhadran (Suresh Gopi) give them leadership to fight for their cause, said Jayaraj.
Sai Kumar, Capt Raju, T G Ravi, Jagannatha Varma and Nanditha Bose were among others in the castline.
Dr Naidu, who got his name entered in the Guinness Book of World Records as the highest film maker, said he would also try his luck in Marathi, Gujarathi, Punjabi and Bhojpuri soon.
Talking about his experience Dr Naidu said ''discipline and commitment in all streams of film making, in developing infrastructure and technology for the industry and banking on new talent and encouraging new concepts and ideas are the three pronged recipe for his success.'' Apart from Telugu, Dr Naidu, under the banner of Suresh Productions, had made 124 films in different languages such as Hindi, Bengali, Kannada, Tamil and Oriya till 2005.
