Miscreants loot Forest dept office at gunpoint
Kohima, Apr 12 (UNI) Three unidentified armed miscreants looted Rs 1.23 lakh from the Forest Ranger's office at forest colony in Dimapur yesterday, official sources today said.
The miscreants, armed with one AK47 and other arms and forced the employees to kneel down.
One of the miscreants guarded the gate while two others looted the money and escaped towards the Nepali basti.
This office was the revenue collection section of the department.
After receiving the complaint, police immediately sealed all the roads in Dimapur town.
A frisking operation was carried out by police but without any result.
Meanwhile, the NSCN-IM has denied their involvement in the incident.
