M A John floats new political forum

Kozhikode, Apr 12 (UNI) Expelled Democratic Indira Congress (Karunakaran) leader M A John today floated a new forum named DIC (Left) in protest against the policies adopted by the former.

Announcing the formation of the new forum, Mr John criticised the DIC (K) for making electoral tie-up with the Congress-led UDF and continuing relations with the Opposition LDF in the local bodies in the state.

Rebel DIC (K) leader Ammarappalli Kunhishankaran will be the convenor of the new forum, he said.

Claiming that majority of the DIC (K) workers were with him, Mr John said the future course of the new outfit would be decided at a covention to be held at Sulthan Bathery in the neigbouring district of Wayanad on April 17.

Former Kozhikode Mayor and rebel DIC (K) leader U T Rajan, was among those present.
