Haryana Marketing Board to introduce storage facilities
Chandigarh, Apr 12 (UNI) The Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board will soon introduce cold chain and cold storage system for the storage of perishable fruits and vegetables in fruit and vegetable markets in the state.
Informing this here today, a spokesman of the Board said that expression of interest had been invited from interested parties experienced in the line of installation of cool chambers or storages for fruits and vegetables by farmers, traders and retailers in the mandis. He stated that the companies willing to apply should be capable of designing, installing, commissioning, operating and maintaining the system. He further added that the interested companies should have atleast two years' experience of successful operation after installation.
He informed that the offers along with complete technical details and company profile could be sent to the Chief administrator of the Board within a period of 15 days. He maintained that financial statement, technical qualifications, experitise and experience of the key staf would also have to be included.
Giving details of the other required information, he stated that the company would have to disclose the research and development and the quality assurance system, available technology being offered by the organisation. The number of norms of similar, bigger and complexity completed during the last five years would also have to be mentioned.
