Zee, DD agree on revenue sharing arrangement for Indo-Pak series
New Delhi, Apr 11 (UNI) Zee Sports and Doordarshan have agreed to a 75:25 revenue sharing arrangement for the two One Day Internationals between India and Pakistan on April 18 and 19 in Abu Dhabi.
As per the agreement, Zee Sports will keep 75 per cent of the revenue while balance 25 per cent will go to DD. The two matches are being organised to raise funds for the victims of last year's earthquake.
Commenting on the deal, Himanshu Mody, Business Head Zee Sports said, ''We are pleased to conclude the broadcast sharing agreement for one of the most exciting series of the year with Prasar Bharti.'' Zee Sports has acquired the global media rights for all matches that India will play on neutral grounds. As part of the deal, 25 matches will be played over a period of five years with an average of five matches per year.
The global media rights comprise television, radio and Internet rights from April 1 to March 31, 2011.
