SPO killed in militant attack in Doda

Jammu, Apr 11 (UNI) A special police officer (SPO) was killed when unidentified militants attacked a police picket at Kato under Gondon police station in Doda today.

According to sources, SPO Ravinder Kumar received serious injuries when the militants attacked the police picket with automatic weapons.

Kumar later succumbed to his injuries. His body was taken to his native village Drole for last rites.

The security forces have started a massive search operation to nab the ultras.

Meanwhile, sources said the security forces had gunned down two Talibani militants last night in Kishtawar area of Doda district.

They were identified as Abu Changezi and Abu Mustkeem, both residents of Pakistan.
