Satyam to partner global leaders in strategic business learning
Mumbai, Apr 11 (UNI) Satyam School of Leadership (SSL), the corporate leadership university of Satyam Computer Services Ltd., is all set to offer its 'best in class' curriculum for advanced global business leadership learning for its senior leaders in partnership with Harvard Business School Publishing (HBSP) and Universitas 21 Global (U21Global).
A release today said that the programme, chirstened- the Certificate of Global Business Leadership, aimed at developing universal competencies, will equip selected leaders with best-in-class skills taught in world-class MBA programs to expand and deepen global strategic leadership capability.
""The core objective and focus of the programme is to further boost Satyam's strategic leadership excellence and to further the 'trusted-advisor' strategic relationships with Satyam's customers around the globe,'' the release said.
HBSP, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Harvard University and 21Global, the online graduate school established by the Universitas 21 network of globally recognised universities jointly with Thomson Learning, will collaborate in defining, selecting and delivering suitable learning content for the programme.
Pointing out that HBSP will provide significant leadership development content, case studies, and online leadership modules, while U21Global will deliver integrated additional content, participant management and assessment processes, the release said that SSL will facilitate the whole learning experience for Satyam's leaders by enabling policies, processes and systems at the organizational level.
SSL, which will fully sponsor this programme, plans to enhance the global business leadership skills of more than 3,000 Satyam leaders over the next three years and the selection criteria for the leaders will be based on nominations and performance.
U21Global will make the final eligibility decision with the SSL team based on a detailed evaluation process of each application.
Speaking on the partnership, Satyam co-founder and CEO B Rama Raju said, ''having recognised the need to grow global leaders, we have continuously taken initiatives to create an eco-system for nurturing this growth. It is also imperative to arm ourselves with prevailing practises from global innovators in education and training and the three year tie-up will enable us to draw upon the expertise from their knowledge base and experiences. which we will extend to our associates.'' This initiative comes close on the heels of the commencement of the groundwork of Satyam School of Leadership in Hitech City, with a built-up area of 1,60,900 sq.ft. which is expected to be completed in eight months.
Satyam senior vice-president leadership development Ed Cohen will head the school and be responsible for creating vision and strategy for leadership development, and building it into a robust institution.
