KSEB bt Central Excise 3-2

Kozhikode, Apr 11 (UNI) An 80th minute goal by striker Rajiv helped defending champion Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) beat Central Excise, Kochi, 3-2, in the opening day of the Third Royal Challenge Kerala State Football League here today.

The other two goals for the powermen, who showcased a lackluster performance, conceding two goals in the first half, were scored by striker Prince in the 60th minute, followed by an equaliser by captain Ramesh in the 62nd minute.

Shabir Ali and Risham scored for the Excise in the sixth and 15th minute respectively.

State Bank of Trvancore, Thiruvanthapuram, will take on Kochi Port Trust tomorrow.
