Karzai doubtful over use of satellite imageries to fight terrorism
Hyderabad, Apr 11 (UNI) Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai today expressed doubts over the effectiveness of satellite imageries in protecting his country from increasing incidents of violence.
Fielding a question from an Afghan reporter on exploring the possiblity of using the expertise of the National Remote Sensing Agency (NRSA) here in stepping up surveillance on Pakistan-Afghanistan border, he said it would be too difficult to use the technique as it was 'porus.' The visiting dignitary, who had called for regional cooperation against terrorism at New Delhi yesterday, added that he would examine how best the technology could be used.
