Delhi Govt seeks more powers from Centre

New Delhi, Apr 11 (UNI) Delhi Government has sought more powers from the Centre so as to better manage the law and order and civic problems of the capital.

According to Delhi Government sources, Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit has written a letter to this effect to union Home Minister Shivraj Patil.

The letter was written last month after the Government faced difficulty in handling the situation arising out of the MCD's demolition drive in the capital, the sources said.
