SYDNEY, Apr 11 (Reuters) Australia's biggest beer and wine maker Foster's Group Ltd. said on Tuesday it has sold its brand in Europe to its brewing and distribution partner Scottish&Newcastle Plc for A$750 million ($547 million).
Fosters, which plans to use the sale proceeds to pay debt, said in a statement to the Australian Stock Exchange the deal would result in a one-off gain of around A$650 million after tax.
''There is no change to Foster's Group current estimate of normalised earnings per share growth of between 12-14 percent for 2006,'' the statement read.
