UP Guv, CM greet people on Mahavir Jayanti, Milad-un-Nabi

Lucknow, Apr 10 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Governor T V Rajeswar and Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav have greeted the people on the twin festivals of Mahavir Jayanti and Milad-un-Nabi.

In a message here today, Mr Rajeswar said the people should vow to promote humanity and usher an era of peace on the twin festivals tomorrow.

The Governor further said both Prophet Mohammed and Lord Mahavir a preached brotherhood, equality and tolerance without any discrimination.

In his message, the Chief Minister greeted the people on the twin festivities and prayed for the peace and prosperity of the citizens.

Mr Yadav said as both Lord Mahavira and Prophet Mohammed preached amity, the people should dedicate themselves for fostering peace and prosperity of all.
