UP governor returns Aligarh private university bill over land lease
Lucknow, Apr 10 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Governor T V Rajeswar has returned the Mangalayatan University Bill, seeking to set up a private university in Aligarh, which was passed by the state legislature recently.
The governor is reported to have raised certain objections over some clause of the Bill and has even sought clarifications from the government, sources said today.
Sources further said provisions for a 30-year lease for the 50 acre land for the University in the Bill was not in accordance with the norms as the lease period is generally for a period of 90 years.
The proposed private university would be run by Acharya Kundkund Educational Society, Aligarh.
