UP CM announces ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh to victims' kin

Lucknow, Apr 10 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav has announced an ex-gratia of Rs two lakh to the next of kin of the victims of the devastating fire, which swept through a trade exhibition here this evening.

The families of each of the grieviously injured will get Rs 50,000 while those with minor injuries will get Rs 25,000 each.

A magisterial inquiry has been ordered into the tragedy.

Meanwhile, in Meerut, District Magistrate Ram Kishan told UNI that more than 40 bodies had already reached the mortuary.

The authorities have constituted ten-member teams of doctors, which are visiting various hospitals to provide treatment to the injured.
