Bhopal, Apr 10(UNI) Expelled BJP leader Uma Bharti will campaign by a helicopter for two days in support of Gondwana Gantantra Party candidate Gulzar Singh Markam for the Assembly byelection in Madhya Pradesh's Budhni, from where Chief Minister Shivraj Singh is pitted in a multi-cornered contest.

Ms Bharti's staunch supporter and former Union Minister Prahlad Patel today said after offering prayers at the Vindhyavasini temple at Salkanpur, Ms Bharti would address 10 meetings in the constituency on April 11 and 12. She will address election meetings at Ladkui, Chakaldi, Mogra, Digwad and Budhni on April 11 and at Shahganj, Baya, Vasudev, Nimota and Gopalpur next day.

Alleging that in an attempt to prevent Ms Bharti's supporters from campaigning, he said the government machinery was harassing her supporters on the pretext of taking prior permission. Her supporters were detained by police for three hours at Chakaldi and forced to undergo interrogation, Mr Patel alleged.

Congress has fielded former state minister Raj Kumar Patel against Mr Chouhan.
