Two new Supreme Court judges sworn in today
New Delhi, Apr 10: Punjab and Haryana Chief Justice Devinder Kumar Jain and Delhi High Court Chief Justice Markandey Katju were today sworn in as judges of the Supreme Court at a function here.
Chief Justice of India Y K Sabharwal administered the oath of office to the new judges.
The function was attended by Supreme Court judges, law officers and members of the Bar.
With these elevations, the strength of the apex court, including the Chief Justice, has gone up to 25, Sitting judge of the Supreme Court Justice Arun Kumar is due to retire today.
