Two die, four injured in crackers' explosion

Panaji, Apr 10 (UNI) Two teenage brothers were charred to death and four others seriously injured when their van stuffed with fire crackers, caught fire in Betim-Malim in north Goa last night.

Police said the incident took place when the deceased and six others were bursting the crackers in the van, in celebration of a new ''palkhi'' which was taken in a procession to temple.

The deceased were identified as Deeptesh Sawant(14) and Dheeraj Sawant(10), police added.

The injured have been admitted in the Goa Medical College Hospital at Bambolim.
