Two Cong. candidates file nominations

Pondicherry, Apr 10 (UNI) Pondicherry Health Minister E Valsaraj and Parliamentary Secretary to the Chief Minister A V Sreedharan today filed their nomination papers as the Congress candidates to contest the May 3 first phase assembly elections from Mahe and Palloor constituencies respectively.

The AICC had approved the candidature of Mr Valsaraj (Mahe) and Sridharan (Palloor),both sitting members, yesterday.

Both took out seperate processions and filed their papers.

CPM candidates Mr T Ashok Kumar (Mahe) and Mr P K Gangadharan (Palloor) and AIADMK candidates Mr P K Vijayan (Mahe) and K Lakshmanan(Palloor) also filed their papers today.

The filing of nominations closes at 1500 hrs.
