'Tark Vitark' Editor shot at in Bharuch
Vadodara, Apr 10 (UNI) A former Shiv Sena leader and editor of 'Tark Vitark' Vinod Karade, escaped a bid on his life when he was shot at by unidentified criminals near Bharuch 'A' division police station.
Police said two motorcycle-borne assailants wearing helmets, opened fire on Karade while he was returning home on his motor-bike last night.
Karade, however, escaped with a minor injury on his right shoulder and was discharged from the Bharuch civil hospital after first-aid, the police said.
The former Shiv Sena leader, an accused in a murder case during the Bharuch Nagarpalika elections last year, recently in his vernacular fortnightly had written a coloumn apprehending danger to his life from former political rivals.
Bharuch police had registered a criminal case.
No one have been arrested in this connection so far.
