Six congressmen injured in clash with CPI(M) activists in Tripura
Agartala, Apr 10 (UNI) At least six Congress supporters were injured, three of them seriously, in a clash with CPI(M) activists at Mohanbhog near Sonamura in West Tripura district today.
A senior police official said here that the clash between the supporters of the two political parties took place over a dawn to dusk local bandh called by the Congress.
The local unit of the Congress called the bandh demanding proper rehabilitation of the victims of the Indo-Bangla border fencing and immediate implementation of the Monarchak power project.
The police official said five CPI(M) activists had been arrested in connection with the clash.
The three seriously injured Congress activists had been removed to GB hospital here.
