Railways to runs 83 pairs of Summer Specials through East Coast
Bhubaneswar, Apr 10 (UNI) The Railways have decided to run 83 pairs of summer specials through the jurisdiction of East Coast Railway to Howrah, Chennai, Hyderabad, Yaswantpur in Karnataka and Guwahati to clear the heavy rush.
According to an East Coast Railway press note issued here today, 16 pairs of summer special trains will run between Puri and Howrah from May four to June 26. Seven pairs of trains will run between Bhubaneswar and Chennai from May four to June 23.
The eight pairs trains would run from Visakhapatnam to Nizamabad from May two to June 21. Similarly, 11 pairs of summer specials will ply between Tata and Yashwanpur via Sambalpur-Bolangir-Rayagada and Vijayanagaram from April 21 to July three, nine pairs between Hyderabad and Howrah via Bhubaneswar from April 17 to June 14, ten pairs between Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam from April 15 to June 18, nine pairs between Tirupati and Visakhapatnam from April 16 to June 12 and ten pairs between Bangalore and Guwahati via Visakhapatnam and Bhubaneswar from April five to June 28.
All the trains in both ups and downs directions will run once a week.
The East Coast Railway had augmented 5118 additional coaches in different important trains during the last financial year to clear the waitlist passengers.
