Norway's DNO- may start Iraq oil production in '07

OSLO, Apr 10 (Reuters) Norwegian oil company DNO said on Monday it may begin production from its oil wells in the Kurdish part of Iraq in the first quarter of next year.

''DNO is currently undertaking feasibility studies for future possible oil production from the Tawke Area, including a fast-track option. Based on the results to date and contingent on successful outcome of the well tests, first test production of oil from the Tawke Area could commence first quarter 2007,'' DNO said in a statement.

DNO also said data gathered so far showed oil in five reservoirs in the Twake area.
