Naxalites kill former sarpanch, panchayat secy

Jagdalpur, Chhatisgarh, Apr 10 (UNI) In two separate incidents, naxalites killed a former sarpanch and a panchayat secretary last night in South Bastar region, police said today.

Naxalites barged into former sarpanch Kunwar Singh's house last night and stabbed him to death in Dantewada district's Bhairamgadh area.

More than 100 naxalites reached panchayat secretary Shyamsundar's house last night and gunned him down in Puegudi village.

Both the deceased had been members of the anti-naxal 'Salwa Judum' campaign.
