National Workshop on Processed Food Industry from April 15

Bangalore, Apr 10 (UNI) A two-day National Workshop-cum-Exhibition of Processed Food Industry, organised by the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO), will be held here from April 15.

The workshop would focus on trends in the global food business, particularly on specific issues like emerging markets, export opportunities, food retailing, technological developments in managing modern supply chain, infrastructure and logistics, benchmarking India's competitive advantage in the processed food sector and packaging technology, FIEO Committee on Agro Exports Convener Walter D'Souza told newspersons here today.

He said the workshop would also discuss marketing of Indian traditional foods and brand building. Delegates from across the country would participate in the workshop, he added.
