MRPS leader admitted to pvt hospital following weakness
Rajahmundry, Apr 10 (UNI) Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) founder president Manda Krishna Madiga, currently on a padayatra to press the demand for categorisation of SCS fell weak after he reached here.
Mr Krishna, who was rushed to a private hospital was administered fluids and medicines and his condition was normal. He has been asked to take rest for the night. He would resume his padayatra tomorrow morning.
Dr Kesava Swamy, who attended on Mr Krishna said he was given fluids and put on bed rest till tomorrow morning. The doctor advised him not to undertake padayatra in the scorching hot sun.
Meanwhile, MRPS activists held a rasta roko at Thadithotak centre protesting against the government attitude of not providing ambulance when their leader reached here. Later, an ambulance was sent at the hospital premises on the intervention of sub-collector K Sasidhar.
However, when the ambulance reached the spot, Mr Krishna refused to go to government hospital and wanted to take treatment at a private hospital.
Mr Krishna started his padayatra from Amalapuram on April five and so far he had covered 150 km, spreading over nine assembly constitutencies.
Mr Krishna told UNI that he would cover the distance of 1300 km across ten districts before reaching Hyderabad on May 14.
Several MRPS activists visited the private hospital where Mr Krishna was taking rest.
