Jagson Airlines sets up global presence
New Delhi, Apr 10 (UNI) Jagson Airlines, the country's first private airline, today announced the launch of a global sales representation network with the signing of agreements with general sales agents (GSAs) worldwide.
Jagson is appointing GSAs in Britain besides countries in the ASEAN, the SAARC, the GCC regions in first phase. This process will be complete by mid-May.
This will be followed by agreements in the United States, New Zealand, Australia, and other parts of Europe and the Middle East.
Jagson plans to fly as a national carrier covering nine cities by year-end. Said its president and CEO U K Bose, ''We've firmed up plans to purchase 20 Airbus A321 aircraft for 1.3 billion dollars.'' In the first phase, Jagson will cover the cities of Delhi, Bangalore, Patna, Mumbai, Kolkata, Guwahati, Jaipur, Dibrugarh and Goa. In the second phase, while adding flights to these sectors, it will extend operations to Lucknow and Cochin and later to Hyderabad.
